Observation: What was going on in the Bible at this time?
Everyone is valuable to God, for He is our Creator. However, no one is righteous except our Heavenly Father. Paul uses Old Testament references to show humanity in its present sinful condition and how it is unacceptable to God. As we read in the Book of Romans, it shows us that we are all sinners; however, we must live as God wants us to. Follow along in Romans 3:9-26, as we continue our “30-Day Walk with Jesus” series!
Application: How can we apply this to our lives?
God loves each and every one of us, for we are His children. We have all fallen into sin; however, God has redeemed us by sending His son Jesus to die for us. Just as God forgives us, He wants us to forgive others. We must ask God for His loving forgiveness when we fail. We must trust our Heavenly Father to take away our sins. His Word tells us that when we ask for forgiveness, He wipes our record clean as though we had never sinned. Our God is an amazing, wonderful Father, and we must thank Him and praise Him on a daily basis! 🙂
Prayer: What can we pray for in regards to these passages?
Heavenly Father, Thank You for the examples and stories that You have placed in Your Word for us to learn from. Father, we know that we are sinners, and we ask for Your forgiveness. Please help us to forgive others who have hurt us and make things right with those we hurt. Please help us to love others, just like you love us. Help us to always be honest people, and let our attitudes and actions be pleasing to You, Father. Please help us to always follow Your ways for us, obeying and praising You through all circumstances in our lives. Please help us to love and obey You wholeheartedly. Please be with those who have rejected You, and help them to return to You, Father, before judgement. Please help us to draw near to You, and please protect us from giving in to the pressures of this fallen world. We want to live Godly lives. Please cure the world from sicknesses, diseases, and disabilities. When we face struggles in this life, Father, please help us to call upon You. Help us to put our complete trust and faith in You, Father, for we know that You will work out Your plan. We thank You for Your son Jesus who died to free us from the slavery of our sins. Thank You for the promise of one day living in eternity with You. Please guide and protect us, our friends, families, pets, and our brothers and sisters around the world who are suffering. We love You and thank You for everything. – in Jesus’ name we pray, amen.
