Application: How can we apply this to our lives?
There is plenty of distress and sadness in this fallen world today, but we must cling to God, for He is the one who can cure and free us from the sickness of the world. God alone is our comfort and our strength, and we can always lean on Him. We often recognize our own weaknesses, and it is then that God’s greatest strength is available to us. Do not ever reject those who are reaching out to help, though; accept the support from loving friends and family. Heartaches and troubles in life can sometimes makes us feel as though God has rejected us. God will keep all of His promises to us. Remember, even when the world perishes, God will still remain. In Psalm 103, David was praising God for the good things He was doing for him. It is so easy to complain in life, but we must keep focused on the wonderful things God is doing in our lives. We also must never wallow in the past; God forgives and forgets. We must model God’s forgiveness, also forgetting the sins of the past. Psalm 104 is a summary of God’s creation of the world as found in Genesis. What God created each day is mentioned by the author as a reason to praise God. God deserves to be praised each and every day, for He is good!
