Observation: What was going on in the Bible at this time?
Paul was about to end his second missionary journey and begin his third. The church in Antioch was Peter’s home base. After Paul spent some time in Antioch, he traveled throughout the region of Galatia and Phrygia, encouraging and strengthening disciples. A man named Apollos, who was pretty knowledgeable of Scripture, came to Ephesus. However, he only knew about the Baptism of John. Priscilla and Aquila invited him into their home and explained the way of God a little better, for Apollos did not know about Jesus’ death and resurrection or the coming of the Holy Spirit. While Apollos was in Corinth, Paul went to Ephesus. A riot in Ephesus then sent Paul to Troas and on to Macedonia. A plot against Paul’s life was discovered. Follow along as we read Acts 24-26, learning about Paul’s trial before Felix, Paul’s trial before Festus, Festus consulting King Agrippa, and Paul speaking before Agrippa!
Application: How can we apply this to our lives?
Paul used every opportunity to witness for Jesus. God wants us to use every opportunity in our lives to witness to others, as well. God’s power can change lives. God answers our prayers in His timing. Sometimes we may grow impatient, anxious, or discouraged. However, we must wait upon the Lord. His timing in our lives is what is best for each of us, and we must trust Him. When we encounter difficulties and struggles in this life, they just may be opportunities in disguise. We must be on the watch, for God is working in amazing ways! 🙂

Please be with those who have rejected You, and help them to return to You, Father, before judgement. Help us to treat others with kindness, and help us to show the same traits to others as You do, following Your example. Help us to trust in Your care and provision in each of our lives. Even though we do not always get what we want in life, we know that You know what is best for us. Please help us to draw near to You, and please protect us from giving in to the pressures of this fallen world. We want to live Godly lives. When we face struggles in this life, Father, please help us to call upon You. Help us also to be more compassionate toward others who are struggling in this evil world, as well.
