Be Thankful for One Another!
Today I am thankful for my spouse, family, friends, and pets.
I believe God has divinely placed me with the person I am to spend the rest of my life with, into a wonderful family, and into a circle of different friends that encourage and love one another without judging…and, of course, God places our wonderful furry friends into our lives, who will always love us unconditionally.
The Bible tells us that God knew us before we were even born, and He has a plan for each one of us, including the people that He places into our lives. God tells Jeremiah that He knew him before he was even formed in the womb.
5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
God gives us the special people He places into our lives, and God wants us to love one another.
Our Heavenly Father expects us to treat our loved ones, and others around us, with love and kindness. We need to be thankful for one another!
God instructs us in His Word to not only be thankful in all circumstances (1 Thessalonians 5:18), but to love one another, to let God’s love shine through us and into others:
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” – John 13:34-35
Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. – 1 Peter 4:8
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. – 1 John 4:7-8
Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. – Colossians 3:12-15
Let all that you do be done in love. – 1 Corinthians 16:14
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. – 1 John 1:7
For I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you. – John 13:15
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. – 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
You see, God loves us, and we are to love others, just as He loves us. We are to be thankful for one another. The people in our lives are God’s greatest gifts to us!

November is the month of thankfulness. Let us praise God for all that He does and is doing in our lives.
